Fast Track Fourth Court Judge Rajib Saha convicted Lutfa Bibi for conspiring to kill her husband Jairam Seikh and sentenced her to life imprisonment.
The judge also imposed a fine of Rs 25,000 on Lutfa Bibi and said if she failed to pay the amount she would have to undergo another two years prison term.
During the trial Lutfa Bibi's son eldest son Bappa Rahaman Seikh who was 10-years old when the incident happened told the judge that his mother conspired to kill his father.
Lutfa's husband Jairam went missing since April 9, 2001 as he was killed by Amin Seikh and his associates.

Lutfa's neighbour and relatives one day found her fleeing with her children. They caught hold of her and started asking about Jairam. She finally confessed that she had conspired with Amin to kill him.
Lutfa was arrested by police May, 27, 2001. Later she was granted bail and the hearing was going on in Krishnagar Court.
