The woman died late on Monday night, succumbing to death during treatment at a private hospital, where she was rushed after she took the extreme step, the police officials said.
The body was handed over to the family members after postmortem today morning and inquiry proceedings under section 174 of the CrPC were initiated in this connection, an official said.
The reason behind the extreme step was yet to be ascertained as no suicide note was recovered, the official added.
The family members, who were in the next room, rushed her to a private hospital where she breathed her last, he said.
The body was handed over to the family members after postmortem at Maharao Bheem Singh (MBS) hospital, Tyagi said.
According to family members, the deceased had passed class XII this year and used to take tuitions at home, he said.
