Woman, her 2 children attacked

A 50-year-old woman and her son-daughter duo were critically injured this evening when a man, who apparently had a crush on the girl, barged into their house in Mangolpuri area of Outer Delhi and attacked them with a sharp-edged weapon, police said.
According to the police, the attacker, identified as Sonu whose love for the woman's daughter was objected to by her family, was nabbed by neighbours and handed over to the police.
Sonu barged into the house and hurled abuses at the family. He then attacked Gudia (16)and Laxmi (50) with a knife. When Anand (20)tried to intervene in the matter, he too was injured.

Hearing cries of help, neighbours gathered at the spot and nabbed the attacker, said a senior police official.
Laxmi, Gudia and Anand were taken to Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital where their condition was stated to be critical.
Sonu was arrested and an FIR invoking the charge of attempt to murder has been lodged against him, police said.
