Woman kills baby boy, man stabs son to death

A woman allegedly strangulated her infant son while an elderly man stabbed his son to death in separate incidents in Hanskhali area of Nadia district today, police said.
The woman killed her 2-year-old son at Gazna Durlavpara early today as her second husband was reluctant to accept the baby fathered by her first husband who died in an accident six months ago.
Police said the woman was detained and her husband has fled.
The body of the baby was sent for postmortem.
In the other case, a 65-year-old man allegedly stabbed his 40-year-old son to death following an altercation over grazing a goat at Vaina in Hanskhali.

During a heated argument when both were drunk, the father thrust a fruit cutting knife into his son's chest. He died on way to hospital, police said.
The father was taken into custody.
