Woman, man arrested for cheating by offering police force jobs

A woman home guard and a man, who posed as a police officer, were today arrested on the charge of duping several unemployed youth by promising them jobs in the police force.
Commissioner's Task Force (North Zone) nabbed P Aruna and Bharat Kumar today.
According to police, Bharat, who is related to Aruna, once worked as a steward at a club in Secunderabad.
Bharat allegedly posed as a sub-inspector while Aruna as a head-constable. They collected a total Rs 5.5 lakh by promising to arrange constable's jobs for the victims.
Aruna even carried out background verification by visiting the victims' houses and collected documents. Further, she took the victims to a tailoring shop and got stitched police constable's uniforms for them to make them believe that they had been selected, a police release said.
Begumpet police are conducting further probe.
