Woman, minor son dies of burn in allege suicide bid

A woman and her minor son died of burn injuries while her two other children have suffered burn injuries in an alleged suicide bid in Supaul district today, a senior police officer said.
Annoyed with regular quarrels in the family, the woman poured kerosene over herself and three minor children and set the fire in Ward No 12 in Niramli police station area of the district, Superintendent of Police Pankaj Kumar Raj said.
The woman identified as Sunita Devi (45) and her four-year-old son died of burn injuries while her two other children were injured, he said.
The two injured children were taken to Nirmali Hospital from where the attending doctor referred them to Darbhanga Medical College and Hospital (DMCH), the SP said.
