Agreeing to hear her plea, a bench of justices C K Prasad and Kurian Joseph asked the Centre to look into the issue and brief it on the next date of hearing.
Advocate Arvind Sharma, appearing for the woman Fauzia Nehal Ansari who is from Mumbai, submitted that her son's whereabouts are not known ever since he had gone to Pakistan by crossing the international border from Afghanistan where he had gone in search of job.
The petition said that she got information on the computer through his account on social networking site Facebook that her son Hamid Nehal Ansari was in contact through Internet with few Pakistani friends and had come close to a Pakistani girl called Nadia Khan.
She submitted that the Facebook account revealed that Nadia was facing some family pressure as her parents wanted to get her married to another person after which Hamid crossed the boarder to enter Pakistan.
