Woman murdered at home

Police have registered a case of murder after an autopsy confirmed that a 19 years old woman from Nala Sopara in the district had died of strangulation.
The deceased was identified as Kasturi Soham Ram.
Inspector D V Bandekar of the Waliv police station said the victim's husband, a scrap vendor, found his wife unconscious at the couple's home on September 15 when he returned for lunch. She was declared dead at the hospital.
After the autopsy revealed that cause of death was strangulation, Waliv police registered a case of murder and are conducting further probe, inspector Bandekar said.
