The deceased Kumme Rajjo Majji was a member of Tenth Company under 'Chatgaon Dalam' in Bhamragarh and was allegedly involved in three to four serious encounters in 2014.
The gun battle ensued after the police party came under indiscriminate firing from Ultras hiding in Kondhekal forests at Pomke Gatta in Dhanora taluka last night, stated a release issued by Gadchiroli Police.
The police team, led by Additional SP (Operation) M Rajkumar, returned the firing leading to the death of Majji while her accomplices fled from the spot.
