A 30-year-old woman was allegedly raped by a man on pretext of getting her a job, police said today.
The victim, who belongs to Hoshangabad, came in contact with the accused Rajesh Panchal (35) when she dialled his number by mistake earlier this week.
Panchal befriended her by saying he was like a brother to her, and would arrange a job for her in Indore.
After she arrived here last night, Panchal allegedly took her to a secluded place and raped her. He also threatened her of dire consequences if she disclosed the incident.
After she approached the police, Panchal was arrested.
