District Judge Shesasayee also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 on her.
The woman and her 32-year-old husband, a lorry driver, quarrelled frequently. On January 6, 2012, when he was sleeping, the woman boiled oil in a vessel and poured it on him. Their 12-year-old daughter also suffered burns.
Though he was admitted to the government hospital here, he died after eight days, police said.
While pronouncing the verdict, the judge criticised the police for not including the daughter as a witness and not showing her burns.
