The Uttarakhand High Court, while hearing a petition by the woman seeking a stay on her arrest in the blackmailing case last week, had asked her to surrender in a court within a week.
Complying with the high court's order, the woman surrendered in the court of the judicial magistrate here and was sent to 14 days' in judicial custody.
During investigations police found that the woman, along with her accomplices, made an obscene CD purportedly showing her in a compromising position with Joshi.
The woman was arrested on December 6 but was released as she was on transit bail after deposit of a personal bond of Rs 25,000.
