The contingent of Indian Women Camel Safari-2015 (comprising of 13 BSF Mahila Constables and 14 women of TATA Adventure Sports Foundation) under the leadership of Sujata Shinde, Assistant Commandant/ Veterinary Officer, BSF was felicitated by DIG BSF M F Farooqui, at Khalsa College, here.
On the occasion, a cultural programme was presented by members of Youth clubs, Lion Club, Rotary Club, NGOs and students of local schools.
Tomorrow, the members of the Camel Safari will enter 'Swarn Jyanti Dwar', Joint Check Post Indo-Pak Attari international border in the afternoon and will pass before Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh.
Besides, Chief Minister of Punjab Parkash Singh Badal, DG BSF D K Pathak, ADG BSF western Command M K Singla, various government and civil dignitaries will remain present during the event.

As the Camel Safari will culminate at JCP Attari tomorrow, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh will felicitate the members during the closing ceremony of the event.
The Camel Safari Expedition is aimed at building the positive image of BSF and promote the spirit of adventure and enterprise among the population particularly youth and women in India, said DIG BSF R S Jaswal.
