He was speaking at a Mahila sammelanat Ghanahatti, 14 km from here, where he also presented cheques of Rs 20,000 each to all 72 Mahila Mandals in his Shimla (Rural) Assembly segment from MLA Local Area development Fund.
The endeavour of his government had always been to ensure equal freedom, status and honour to women and it was a matter of great contentment that they are not lagging behind in any area, he said.
He said there were no financial constraints for opening educational institutes in the state as it was his passion to provide best possible academic facilities to the youth.
It was due to the efforts of the government that Himachal Pradesh was the leading state in education sector today, the chief minister claimed.

He said that Shimla Rural has been developed as a model constituency of the state where every section and sector has been given priority.
The Chief Minister also released the music album of folk singer Bablu on this occasion.
