Justice R Subbiah ordered issue of notice to officials including the Tamil Nadu Home Secretary.
Manimegalai, alias Muthaj Begum, submitted that Tamil Nadu state filed a case against her relatives Balasubramanian, Kovil Pillai and Karunthan charging that they had murdered her.
She said though her relatives, who were accused in the case, were acquitted by a court in Tuticorin district on February 20, 2007, the court declared that she was murdered going by the forensic tests.
"Police filed a false charge sheet stating that I was murdered," she submitted. Several newspapers published "incorrect" news about her and this had caused various problems to her family members and privacy was intruded, she said.
The woman submitted that she had to face untold sufferings for a long period and sought the court order for a compensation under "Victim Compensation Scheme.
