Lauding the verdict, All-India Democratic Women's Association (AIDWA) said that such a ruling will boost the confidence of the people in the judiciary.
"This verdict will boost the confidence of the people in the judiciary. Now we have to ensure that the victim's tormentors are sternly punished, so that our society never suffers another such torment," said Jagmati Sangwan, General Secretary, AIDWA.
Women Social Activist Annie Raja said that such a verdict will definitely discourage such kind of heinous crimes.
"The culprits often think that they can get away by committing such crimes because of the shoddy evidence gathering by Police and lax judiciary. People's faith in police and judiciary have to be established so that people refrain from committing such crimes," said Raja.
