Activists of the Istri Jagriti Manch, a women's group, Punjabi writers and artistes took part in the protest.
Manch leaders Gurbax Kaur Sangha, Charanjit Kaur and Anita Sandhu alleged that certain numbers rendered by the singer presented women in poor light.
They demanded action against such singers under the Indecent Representation of Women Prohibition Act, 1986.
