Around 108 golfers from more than 25 countries will feature in the sixth edition of the championship which carries a total prize purse of USD 300,000 and will be held at the DLF Golf and Country Club in Gurgaon.
"A total of 108 players, including 45 players from the European circuit and 35 from the Ladies Asian Golf Tour will be contesting in the championship.
"Among the Indian's there will 14 pros alongside three amateurs vying for the honours. In all we will be having 28 contestants from India," Secretary General of the Women's Golf Association of India (WGAI), Champika Sayal, told reporters during the announcement of the championship.
The three-day championship is being sanctioned by WGAI and Ladies Asian Golf Tour apart from LET.
The Indian challenge will be spearheaded by Sharmila Nicollet, who qualified for the Ladies European Tour (LET) last year, and Smriti Mehra.
Apart from them, the likes of Nalini Singh Siwach and Vani Kapoor, who has had a phenomenal season winning three championships in the domestic circuit, will also be battling it out in the WGAI's flagship event.

The championship will be Vani's first as a professional and the golfer was pretty upbeat for the tournament.
"The last one year has been very satisfying and I am really looking forward to this event. I will be playing at my home turf so I am pretty confident about the things," Vani said.
The youngster though admitted that it won't be an easy task for the Indian golfers.
"It is going to be a tough field. Personally I would be aiming to finish among the top 20," she added.
