Women sexually assaulted by drunk trio

Two women of a family were sexually assaulted and a male member was beaten up by three persons while they were going to the IGI airport, police said today.
The incident took place at around 3 am on Chirag Delli BRT corridor when the family was going to the airport to see off one of the members.
They stopped the car as one of the women had to make a telephone call. Three inebriated persons came to the spot in a car and started making lewd remarks.
The male member accompanying the women was beaten up when he resisted the trio. The accused then sexually assaulted the women, police said.

Some passerby later informed police about the incident, following which the accused were arrested from a village near Chirag Dilli at around 6.30 am, said a senior police officer.
