Women gathered in Churachandpur town staged protest demonstration and shouting slogans like "hand over the killers of nine brothers", "we demand separate administration for hill", "resign MLAs" etc, the official said.
There was no untoward incident in Churachandpur town today, the official said, adding that law and order situation was under control.
The JAC, formed on September 2, has since been spearheading the agitation against the passage of the bills seeking to protect the rights of the indigenous people of the state.
The three bills seeking to protect the rights of the indigenous people are the Protection of Manipur People Bill, 2015, the Manipur Land Revenue and Land Reforms (7th amendment) Bill, 2015 and the Manipur Shops and Establishments (Second Amendment) Bill, 2015.
