"They are the most manifest form of women's empowerment and have been able to present an example before the country with their courage, dedication and loyalty," Sahay said here at a performance of the country's first all-woman commando team, which has been raised by the Central Reserve Police Force at the Group Centre in Gurgaon's Kadarpur.
The team, which consists of 30 highly-trained women and two officers, has undergone a tough training of three months at the Jodhpur Police Academy in Rajasthan.
They can also join counter-terrorist operations and provide additional security at special events.
