Speaking at a conference here, Bangladesh Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan stressed that Dhaka has "zero-tolerance" against terrorism and it has a "comprehensive plan" for countering the menace.
He said that in some cases, a few radical political affiliations, are "trying to de-stabilize the country and thus hindering the current rapid socio-economic development by acts of terror."
He was speaking at the 3rd Counter Terrorism Conference that concluded here today.
He said Bangladesh will never allow its soil to be used as the launching ground for any kind of terrorist activities against any part of the globe, let alone its neighbors, said a statement by the Bangladesh High Commission.
"A prolonged armed conflict could have a spill over effect in the neighbourhood leading to serious conflagration in the region," he said.
