Upping the ante, Congress today warned it would not allow Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Telecom Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad "sleep peacefully" for the Centre's the decision to discontinue postage stamps issued in memory of Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi.
"Hitler Modi, we will not let you, BJP, Ravi Shankar Prasad sleep peacefully. Prasad, you will see Congress and Youth Congress in your dreams. (Prasad) you will have to hold your ears and apologise to the nation," Indian Youth Congress president Amrinder Singh Raja Brar said, addressing the Kisan Samman rally at Ramlila Ground here.
All India Mahila Congress chief Shobha Ojha too attacked the BJP government, saying it would not be able to erase memories of the two leaders despite its series of efforts.
"Whatever attempts they make, they won't be able to erase memories of the two leaders from people's minds," Ojha said.
A controversy had erupted earlier this month after the government decided to discontinue postage stamps of Indira and Rajiv.
Defending the government move to discontinue stamps of Indira and Rajiv under the definitive series, Prasad had said the decision was taken on the advice of the Philately Advisory Committee (PAC) and that earlier "the focus was on one family".
