"DGC is amazing but if you miss the fairways than you are out for some trouble. It puts a lot of stress on you, which is great," said Woods who played an 18-hole exhibition match at the course in his maiden trip to India yesterday.
The world number one American golfer had mesmerised 5000-odd spectators who had turned up to watch him play the lucrative match at the DGC. He tamed the difficult course with a nine-under score and also conquered hearts of the thousands of people who came to have a glimpse of him.
The 14-time Major winner attributed his success to hard work and determination.
"I'll try and tell all the youngsters that if you want to become better at anything you do, in school, golf, sports, anything you do in your life, you have to put in a lot of efforts. You need to do hard work," he said.
Woods said his late father Earl, who had died in 2006, was the driving force behind his phenomenal career.
"When I look back at the finest memories as a kid, it was with my dad practicing golf," he told NDTV.
Woods said he wants the game to grow globally.
"The game has become more global. If you look at the world rankings, it's not the same anymore. I want the game to become global."
