Uttar Pradesh advocate general V C Mishra today appealed to the government counsels in Gautam Buddha Nagar district to work expeditiously and reduce the number of pending court cases.
Gautam Buddha Nagar District Bar Association secretary Sardar Singh Bansal welcomed the advocate general, along with other office-bearers of the association.
Association president Kalu Ram Choudhary informed the advocate general about the lack of a library at the Bar Association. The advocate general immediately approved a grant of Rs 10 lakh for the purpose.
The advocates also requested him for allotment of a group housing plot for advocates, as was earlier allotted by the authorities for judges. He assured the advocates to take up the issue with the state government.
