Vikram Solar commissioned rooftop plant at Calicut airport * Solar energy solution provider Vikram Solar today said that it has commissioned a rooftop solar plant with 750 kWp capacity at Calicut International Airport.

This is Vikram Solar's third such rooftop installation at an International Airport in India, after the 100 kWp installation at Cochin International Airport in Kerala itself.
The company has also installed a rooftop solar plant with a total 2 MWp capacity at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport at Kolkata. It is expected to reduce CO2 emissions by around 2,037 Mt each year.

Amazon launches online Marathi book store * E-commerce giant Amazon today launched a dedicated online Marathi book store with a selection of over 5,500 titles.
"The online store offers Marathi books from a wide range of collection including classics, literature, fiction, biographies, business and finance, self-help, cook books and children's books from leading publishers and bestselling books," the company said in a statement.

Advertising regulator ASCI today said that it has received over 1,000 complaints till date from the consumers from the web portal web portal www.Gama.Gov.In launched last year.
To tackle the misleading ads, the Department of Consumer Affairs had launched Grievances Against Misleading Advertisements (GAMA) and had appointed the Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI) to monitor web portal.

CG wins USD 35 million order from PT PLN (Persero) Indonesia * Avantha Group Company CG has won USD 35 million (approx Rs 236 crore) order from Indonaesia's PT PLN (Persero) to manufacture and install power transformers.
"Avantha Group Company CG has won a significant order of USD 35 million (INR 236 crore approx) from PT PLN (Persero), the state-owned electricity company of Indonesia, to manufacture and install 28 power transformers ranging from 83.3 MVA to 167 MVA and rated voltage 500 kV/150 kV," the company said in a statement.
