A 24-year-old worker was killed after a robotic arm of a machine pierced him at an auto ancillary factory in Manesar near here, police said.
The incident occurred yesterday when Ramji Lal, from Unnao district in Uttar Pradesh, apparently moved too close to the robot while adjusting a metal sheet that had come unstuck, they said.
The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him brought dead, police said.
Lal had joined the company a year-and-a-half ago and was working as a loader at its factory in Industrial Model Township (IMT) in Manesar, they said.
