Workers call off strike at Voltamp Transformers plant

Voltamp Transformers Ltd today said contract workers have withdrawn their protest and are back to work at the company's Vadadala plant in Gujarat's Vadodara district.
"From August 8, 2015 (Saturday), the strike has been withdrawn, the contract workmen have resumed work, and the production activities at the company's Savli factory are normal from day one," the company said in a BSE filing today.
According to the statement, the company had informed BSE on August 7, about the "illegal" strike.
Shares of the company were trading at Rs 774.50 apiece, down 2.18 per cent, on BSE.
