Working capital of Kangra Central coop bank touches Rs 18k cr

The working capital of Kangra Central Co-operative bank has touched Rs 18,000 Crore, making it one of the largest such institution, its Chairman Jagdish Sapehia said today.
"Our bank has a working capital of Rs 18,000 Crore and earned a net profit of Rs 35.6 crore," he said adding it is operating only 5 districts of Himachal Pradesh and yet has a high customer base of 10 lakh.
Sapenia said the increase in working capital has made it one of the largest cooperative bank in the country in this regard.
The bank earned a net profit of Rs 35.6 crore in the last financial year with a target to increase it to Rs 100 crore in the next five years, he said.
Meanwhile, the bank signed an MoU with Sonalika, a leading tractor manufacturing company of north India, under which farmers would be provided a special discount of Rs 6000 if it is funded by our bank.
KCCB would soon provide ATM card facility to its customers which would become operational within next 15 days.
He informed that to improve the customer facilities, bank would be recruiting over 500 persons within a year.
