Eight-time National Award-winning editor Sreekar Prasad says it was a "fanboy" moment for him when he got the opportunity to work with superstar Rajinikanth in "Kaala".
Prasad, who edited the Pa Ranjith-directed movie, says he met the veteran actor twice during the production of the film.
"He was very passionate about the film and used to ask how the film was shaping up, but he never interfered in the creative decisions," Prasad told PTI.
In "Kaala", it was the director who took all creative decisions, he added.
"I am working with the superstar for the first time, it was a fanboy moment as I had seen most of his films since I was growing up... He also seemed to be passionate about watching the films that were up for a release and had encouraging words for the good efforts of the filmmakers," he said.
"Kaala" is slated for release on June 7, Prasad said.
