Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has allocated two districts each to all cabinet ministers, entrusting them with the responsibility to monitor progress of government works in their respective regions.
"The measure has been taken to ensure development across UP," state power minister Shrikant Sharma told reporters here.
He said the chief minister has entrusted all cabinet ministers and ministers of state with independent charge with the responsibility for development of two districts each in the state.
The remaining ministers of state have also been given responsibility to monitor development works in one district each, Sharma said.
"All of them have been asked to review the progress of their allocated districts with the local officials and the MLAs on regular intervals," he said.
There are total 75 districts in the state.
