The issues of adopting best practices in most of the departments, especially those directly dealing with the public were discussed at length in this workshop of Chief Minister's Good Governance Associates (CMGGA).
Referring to Chief Minster's vision, Additional Principal Secretary to CM Rakesh Gupta said that offices of Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Regional Transport Authority (RTA) and Department of Urban Local Bodies have started adopting best practices.
The best practices to keep a complete tap on corruption in Transport Department, especially enforcement of uniform standard operating procedures in SDM offices were also discussed so as to implement the same at the earliest possible, an official release said.
Discussions were also held to prepare strategies for checking plying of overloaded vehicles in the state. It was also informed that Automated Fitness Centre for testing of vehicles was being established at Rohtak so as to check corruption in inspection of vehicles.
Following the directions of the Chief Minister, it was informed that improving IT system in Urban Local Bodies is among the priorities of the government. The manpower of IT professional would be enhanced at the earliest both at the headquarters and at all 79 municipalities, it was informed.
