During the 25 minute interaction, both the leaders discussed status of several projects that are funded by World Bank in the state, a government release said here.
Noting that the State's association with the bank was "mutually beneficial", Jayalalithaa expressed concern that for the phase II of the Tamil Nadu Road Sector Project the World Bank funding may be restricted to USD 300 million".
She requested the Bank funding to be increased to USD 500 million to the project, considering that the State contribution will be much higher, the release said.
"Tamil Nadu has undoubtedly benefitted both from the availability of finances at affordable rates and from the specialised technical input from the bank, the Bank also been able to utilise the efficient delivery mechanism of Tamil Nadu," she said.

She said her government would provide the required assistance to the World Bank office in Chennai.
Kim, while complimenting Jayalalithaa, said the state had done "so well" in encouraging investments and growth and at the same time improving social indicators like Infant Mortality Rate and Maternal Mortality Rate.
World Bank, Country Director, Onno Ruhl said the 'follow- on' projects funded by World Bank, would be cleared within a 12 month timeframe.
World Bank supported International Finance Corporation (IFC) Director, Serge Devieux, World Bank Director T V Somanathan, World Bank Centre Manager, Chennai, Sunil Kumar, State Finance Minister O Pannerselvam, Chief Secretary Mohan Varghese Chunkath, Finance Secretary K Shanmugam were present during the meeting, the release said.
"Very excited to be here. Tamil Nadu is good in automobile (industries). We are going to expand the membership worldwide. Presently 700 (world bank) members are there," Kim earlier in the day told reporters on arrival at the airport here.
