The key takeaway of the Congress, which concluded in Ahmedabad on February 29, was the message of 'quality', Spices Board Chairman A Jayathilak said.
"It now requires the entire spice industry to act together in a determined manner to realize this objective," he said.
"The Congress helped in making the participants richer in terms of business relationships, knowledge and memories which will aid them in the journey forward.
Jayathilak said the event provided a platform for overseas exhibitors to project their global reach by offering new technologies and products which would enhance capabilities of the global spice industry.

The Spices exports from India last year touched 8.94 lakh MT, valued at Rs 15,000 crore (US Dollars 2.433 billion).
The 3-day mega event which concluded at Ahmedabad on February 29, was organised by the Spices Board in association with the Cochin Hill Produce Merchants' Association and India Pepper and Spice Trade Association (IPSTA) with the support of Indian Spices and Food Stuff Exporters' Association.
