Like many Indian handset makers, Xolo (a sub-brand of Lava) was also impacted as Chinese players like Oppo, Vivo, Xiaomi and Lenovo grabbed consumers' attention and market share.
"We did a study to understand what the customers are looking for and found that camera was one of the key areas. Indians love selfies. So, we decided to bring in the premium moonlight flash feature to all the three phones," Xolo Business Head Sunil Raina told PTI.
The handsets (Era 3X, Era 2V, and Era 3), which have 5- inch displays, will be available from October 14 exclusively through e-commerce platform Flipkart.
Raina said there are brands that have capitalised on the "selfie" trend but they are focused on the offline market.

"As an online-only brand, we see a big opportunity and especially at the price points where we are offering the devices," he added.
