Xpress Money appoints Gedam as VP-marketing and communications

Money transfer service provider, Xpress Money today appointed Ashwin Gedam as vice president, global marketing and communications.
Prior to Xpress Money, Gedam was with ICICI Bank where he headed the corporate brand function and was responsible for the marketing and brand strategy, a company statement said.
"I look forward to the rich experience and knowledge that Ashwin brings along, that will add immense value to our organisation and we wish him all the very best," Xpress Money's vice president and business head Sudhesh Giriyan said.
Gedam has also worked with BRICS Securities and Kotak Securities.

Arredondo appointed head for Asia Pacific & Japan * The US-headquartered IT management solutions provider CA Technologies today announced the appointment of Kenneth Arredondo as the President & General Manager of Asia Pacific & Japan with effect from April 1.

Lionel Lim, who has held this role since 2010, has decided to leave the company to pursue personal interests, CA Technologies said in a release.
CA Technologies said Arredondo will be responsible for the company's business in the region that includes Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Singapore, South Korea and Taiwan.

Idea partners IBM for consulting for postpaid customer service * Country's third largest telecom firm Idea Cellular has partnered with IBM for leveraging the US-based firm's business consulting expertise to transform its postpaid business.
The aprtnership will enable Idea to provide improved customer service while simultaneously reducing operational costs and growing revenue, IBM said in a statement.
The engagement is part of an existing 10-year business transformation agreement signed in March 2007 between the two companies.
* * * * * * Jamie Lerner to head Seagate's Cloud Systems and Solutions * Storage solutions firm Seagate today appointed Jamie Lerner as President of its Cloud Systems and Solutions unit.
Lerner joins Seagate from Cisco Systems, where he was serving as the Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Cloud and Systems Management Technology Group.
Lerner will join Seagate on March 10 and will report directly to Seagate Chairman and CEO Steve Luczo.
"With Jamie's substantial expertise in this space, combined with his proven business acumen, we believe he can leverage our unique position as a storage leader and scale our business for new growth initiatives in cloud computing. We are confident Jamie is the right leader to drive this important next chapter for Seagate," Luczo said.
