Mumbai, looking to regain the crown after one year, have dropped promising youngster Sarfaraz Khan, who made his first class debut last year, from the squad for their opening four-day game.
The 40-time champions have opted for a few newcomers -- medium pacers Badre Alam and Kevin Almeida, off spinner Akshay Girap and batsman Shreyas Iyer.
Mumbai would be playing three out of their seven Group A league games at home this season - against J and K - which would be the teams' first-ever clash -- followed by matches against Madhya Pradesh (January 5-8, 2015) and Karnataka (February 6-9).
