Yadlapalli causes upset on day one

The talented Yadlapalli came back from being a set down to beat the Korean 3-6 6-4 6-4.

Dabin, displaying her class, took the first set with one break of serve by 6-3.

In the second, Yadlapalli focussed on consistency and made use of every opportunity to take a lead of 5-2. From there, Dabin took two consecutive games to make it 5-4.

Ultimately, Yadlapalli levelled the match to one-set all, snatching it 6-4.

In the decider, Dabin looked confident again and paced to a 4-2 lead, from where Yadlapalli came up with her best and blasted numerous passing shots to settle the issue.
