"We have received the pillor study hydraulic report and NOC from irrigation department. Now, report has been sent to Yamuna Action Plan Meerut," Noida Authority Chief Project Engineer A K Goel said.
"Once we get approval, tendering process will start. It will relieve traffic congestion on Kalindi Kunj bridge. Presently, commuters get struck during peak hours," he said.
Noida Authority had conceptualised the parallel bridge along Kalindi bridge more than three years ago.
The period elapsed in 2011 and the authority can now build new bridge. Over Rs 500 crore is estimated to be the cost of the project.
