Based on the complaint, an investigation was carried out by the Sub Divisional Officer, Deputy Superintendent of Land Records Department and District Town Planning Officer, who submitted their reports to the Collector, in which Rai was indicted.
The Collector confirmed serving of the notice was today.
Similar cases against the former Yavatmal municipal council chief Yogesh Gadhiya and seven other councillors are pending before the Collector.
