The meteorological department (MeT) has issued a fresh yellow weather warning for heavy rains in Himachal Pradesh in the next two days, an official said on Monday.
Heavy rains are likely to occur in the plains and low and mid hills of the state on Tuesday and Wednesday, the MeT department official said.
The Shimla MeT centre has also forecast rain in the state till August 4.
The Met department issues colour-coded warnings to alert the public ahead of severe or hazardous weather, with 'yellow' indicating least danger.
Meanwhile, some places in the state, including Manali, Una, Kasauli and the capital Shimla, received rainfall in the last 24 hours, the MeT official said.
At 35.2 degrees Celsius, Una was the hottest place in the state while the lowest temperature was recorded in Keylong at 13.2 degrees Celsius, the official said.
