The sessions are being held by Young Indians (Yi) Kolkata, the youth wing of CII, and would benefit 8075 children, , 'Chair' of Yi Kolkata Chapter Alifiya Calcutawala said today.
The chief objective of the exercise is to spread greater awareness about child safety among parents, teachers, and the children themselves.
In the past one year, Yi Kolkata has organised 'Masoom Awareness Campaigns' in 17 schools, Rachit Malik, who is leading the project, said.
"Under Mission Masoom, Yi counsellors visit schools and offer tips to the children as to how they can protect themselves from a potential attacker. The children use innovative children-friendly ways incluidng screening of films like Komal, a national award-winning animated clip produced by Child Line Foundation," Malik added.
Young Indians was formed in 2002 with the objective of creating a platform for young Indians to realise the dream of a developed nation.
