Also, in principle approval has been granted for the expansion of the university over an area of 60 to 65 acres.
The chief minister said this while addressing the valedictory function of a two-day Science Conclave organised by the university in collaboration with Department of Science and Technology, Haryana to mark the Swarna Jayanti celebrations in the campus here, said an official release.
He also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of various projects amounting to over Rs. 60 crore.
On his name, the university would be known as 'JC Bose YMCA University of Science and Technology. All the formalities related to this would be completed at the very earliest, he said.

He said that the state government would sympathetically consider the demands raised by the university for the creation of new teaching and non-teaching posts and budgetary provision for new courses. He assured that he would visit the university again.
Referring to science as the Mother of all inventions, the chief minister said the state government is paying special attention towards the expansion of technical and scientific facilities in educational institutes.
Expressing immense pleasure over the completion of three years of the present government on October 26, the Chief Minister said the government has made untiring efforts for the upliftment and development of every sector in the past three years, especially education.
He said the progress of the state is only possible with the support of educated and skilled youth.
Vice-Chancellor Dinesh Kumar apprised about the background of the university, programme being executed and soon to be implemented.
He urged the chief minister for the sanction of new teaching and non-teaching posts and allotment of 62 acres land identified on Faridabad-Gurugram road for the second campus of the university.
A documentary based on journey of YMCA University from 1969 to till date was also screened before the Chief Minister.
