Centrally located in Mathura city, the park has two imposing statues, one of an infantry soldier and other of a cavalier representing the indomitable spirit of the Strike 1 Corps.
The Yodha Park also comprises an impressive 'Strike 1 Corner' which has a beautifully designed mural painting summarising the immense camaraderie shared among the various arms and services in achieving stupendous victories in many battles since its raising, including the Indo-Pak wars of 1965 and 1971.
"The ethos of Strike 1 are embedded in its offensive spirit and operational focus. Strike 1 Yodha is proud, respected and elite professional which is reflected by the five Cs - character, competence, courage, commitment and compassion," Lt General Shivane said.
The highlight of the occasion was the captivating martial tunes played by the military band.
