General (retired) A K Singh inaugurated a four-day International yoga festival here today.
Yoga has been recognised as an alternative system of healing all over the world, he said and appreciated the Puducherry Tourism Department for organising the event for the last 21 years.
Chief Minister N Rangasamy, who presided, said yoga festival was among the important events that had been playing a positive role in luring tourists from within and outside the country to Puducherry.
