The civic body has also identified six 'yoga sthals' in areas under its jurisdiction in run up to the International Yoga Day celebration on June 21.
"The education department of NDMC has deputed its yoga teachers to hold sessions at these parks from 6.30 to 8.30 am throughout the week. These sessions will be free of cost and will be open for all," a senior NDMC official said.
"Taking the initiative of promoting yoga we have also identified six yoga sthals in our areas where everyone can experience yoga in the true sense of unifying body and mind amidst proper surroundings," he said.
The Yoga celebrations are being held in the national capital after the United Nations in December last year declared June 21 as International Yoga Day, with 177 countries voting in favour.
The proposal had been mooted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his first address to the UN General Assembly in September last year.
The medical services department of NDMC is also organising a yoga camp for citizens at Moti Nagar Baraat Ghar on Yoga Day eve.
