The "Real Housewives" star, 52, has hit back at criticism directed at the 21-year-old model and her friend Kendall Jenner, 20, after Rebecca Romijn said it was "frustrating" they had rocketed to the top of the modelling world thanks to their popularity on sites such as Twitter and Instagram, reported Femalefirst.
Yolanda - who was also a model in her formative years - tweeted: "Kind, hard working and they accomplished more at half your age in the fashion industry."
Her tweets follow comments made by Rebecca, who was asked in an interview what she thought about "the new generation of models such as Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid".
Rebecca replied that they were simply "social media stars" and she is "disappointed" they were gaining so much attention in the fashion world.
"They are not true supermodels. And the thing is, I have always looked to Vogue magazine to lead the way, not be a follower. ... So I have been disappointed that fashion magazines have been supporting this trend of social media stars to set our style standards," she had said.
