Speaking on the occasion, the President welcomed the probationers to the Rashtrapati Bhavan and recalled the rich historical background of the building.
He stated that services of civil servants have played a crucial role in the transformation and development that the country has witnessed over the years.
The President wished the probationers all success in their future endeavours. "What is yours, you will get," a Rashtrapati Bhavan statement quoting Mukherjee said.
A group of 181 IAS probationers are in the national capital to attend a training session at the Bureau of Parliamentary Studies and Training from February 17-21.
