Young couple from Agra commit suicide in Kota

A young couple from Agra allegedly committed suicide by hanging themselves at a lodge in the Bheemganj police station area of the city, police said.
Banti Yadav (24) and Poonam Yadav (24), residents of Baroli area of Agra in Uttar Pradesh, were found hanging from the ceiling fan in a room of the lodge on the railway station road today morning, SHO of Bheemganj police station Nathulal said.
The couple had been staying in the lodge since Monday. When the manager of the lodge sensed no activities in the room, he informed the police today morning, the SHO said.
The couple was found hanging from the ceiling fan of the room with the same 'chunni'.

No suicide note or sign denoting the reason for the suicide has been recovered from the room, he said, adding that the parents of the couple have been informed and postmortem would be conducted tomorrow after their arrival here.
The couple is reported to have tied the knot against the wishes of their parents one and a half years ago, as a missing complaint about the girl was lodged by her father at the Tajganj police station of Agra, the SHO said.
