'Young Indians' delegation to study success stories in Vietnam

As part of its Global Excellence Mission, a 16-member delegation from Young Indians (Yi) will leave for Vietnam today to learn about the success stories of various industries, particularly the manufacturing sector, a Yi representative said.
The delegation will visit plants of companies like Toyota, Bosch, Hoa Sen, Coco Cola and Vinamilk, which would be combined with interactions with senior management, Vishnu Prabhakar, Mission Chair of the host chapter Yi Coimbatore, told reporters here today.
The objective of the four-day mission from October 29 to November 2, is to provide a learning platform to understand the best practices adopted by globally renowned companies and institutions in Vietnam and learn how they have successfully managed to evolve business excellence models in their respective sectors, he said.
Other notable features include the variety of the industry segments, ranging from engineering, textiles to food processing, Jayaprashanth Jayachandran, Chair- Learning, Yi Coimbatore, said.
Yi will also prepare a event report, which would be helpful to entrepreneurs of the country, Jayaprashanth said.
The delegation, comprising participants from Coimbatore, Madurai, Erode, Ahmedabad, Indore and Kolkata, will also interact with Consul General Of India in Vietnam Smita Pant, he added.
